Hi everyone!
I don’t think I’ve met everyone yet that attends The Well and 24-Seven, but my husband, Nicholas and I, are greatly enjoying getting involved in this church and various small groups!
So, my name is Rachel Tomczek (in case you don’t know me) and I have taken on a huge project. It’s called The 6,000 Challenge and involves gathering 6,000 signatures to help gain support to reauthorize the Global AIDS Bill. The number 6,000 represents the 6,000 children who lose a parent to AIDS every day. I would love to have the support of our group in gathering signatures and have also been talking with Pastor Steve to gain the support of 24-7. If you would like to participate in gathering signatures for this awesome project I would love the support! This will also be an amazing way to show the support of 24-7 for raising AIDS awareness.
I have attached a copy of the PDF file that you can download, make copies of and then start collecting signatures. We have until December 1st to gather 6,000 names and I can’t do this without the help of as many people as possible. If you don’t want to gather signatures, please pray for this project and for everyone that is working to gather signatures around the area, state, country and world.
Also, I will be setting up a table at church with lots of materials, information and pictures regarding AIDS. This will be available on November 17th (if the materials arrive), November 24th and December 1st.
My last request, beyond helping gather signatures, is that I will be gone on November 24th and need a willing participant to help with the AIDS Information table at church. If anyone would be interested in helping out with this table I would love a willing volunteer or two!
