Hey Guys

The MediaShout tests have been going well.  I just found another presentation manager--EasyWorship--that appears to be worth testing.  I will download a trial for us to use.

Hey Dex I liked the video in the background last week, how does it looP? Or is it just a long video? Please describe this. Also I noticed an odd problem last week during the songs. The as we read to the end of one slide, rather than click to the next slide BEFORE that piece of the song was over (Since by that time we have already finished reading said line and to avoid a break in singing [and concentration] it should skip like that) it would click forward only after we were lost for words half of the way through the next slide. How do we remedy this?

Hi everyone,

This is my first post here, I’m the “media director” in Chihuahua, Mx. Central SDA church, I read through all this topic to find out if you guys knew about EasyWorship, I highly recommend it, I have tried several presentation softwares and so far this is the best I’ve found (Even though I haven’t tried the newest version).
It’s really easy, like it’s name says, even my 11 yr old daughter manages it.

You can take a look at all of the features here:

I hope this post is not too late.  God bless your ministry

P.S.
I wrote media director between “ “ , because our church equipment is very basic, it’s really no big deal wink

Hi, Jesse:

I’m always looking for creative ministries* to get ideas, and I found a link to 24-7 in http://reinventingsdawheel.blogspot.com/

God Bless,

*You know, here in Mexico the church is very traditional, most of the leaders are not aware that we need to reach people in new ways, so I look mostly for creative SDA ministries, that way, when I want to propose or implement something in my local church, I can say: “Other SDA Churches are doing this or that”.

I.E. Several years ago I suggested my pastor to get a projection equipment and a satellite receiver to broadcast the NET series, but the church board rejected it, they said “it wouldn’t work, because people doesn’t like to watch a preacher on a screen”, now several years later, another pastor came, but he likes technology, so he bought a projector with his own $, and started using powerpoint in his sermons, then we installed a satellite dish, and most of the people loved it. So when he suggested to buy equipment for the church, the board didn’t complain. Now, everybody wants to use the projector, even for simple things.

When we get our truck going I want to implement the plasma screen idea very soon.

Other than that we need more lighting control. Why is worship better in dim light?

Hey you super techies,

Two things:

1 - I wanted to say how totally blessed 24-Seven has been to have you part of this ministry!  I can’t begin to thank you all enough.

2 - This is a question for you - could we begin filming the sermons?  What would that take?  We’re not moving around any more now that we’re on the platform and surrounded by band equipment so the camera(s) wouldn’t have to follow us.  I think it would be so awesome if we could have a couple weeks’ sermons available on the web (with the powerpoint playing too or at least the scriptures placed on the bottom of the video) and have box sets available for each series.  Is it possible & what do you think would work best?

God bless!
