Today Jessie presented part II in the 2012 And An Earth Full Of Big Secrets. Jessie made mention of the 10 toes of the statue in Nebuchadnezzar vision. The interpretation of the statue was of the traditional interpetation recognizing each part of the statue representing the world history from Babylon until the break up of the Roman Empire into ten kingdoms that are supposed to be alive and well today and remain so until Jesus comes.

The TEN toes are important because in Daniel 2:44 Daniel referring to those ten toes says, “In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom...” This has to be at the end of our time, because we have Jesus returning during their reign. We have clear prophecy indicating the fulfilling of Daniel 2:42-44 in Revelation 17:12. “The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet recieved a kingdom, but who for one hour wil receive authority as kings along with the beast”. This sounds like a description of end time to me.

Believing the Bible interprets itself I think the ten horns and the ten toes are the same. Consider the following. The Roman Empire did have 10 kingdoms but as history shows Papal Rome came up out of those ten and uprooted three leaving seven blasphemous nations. So there were seven kingdoms ruled over by Papal Rome =8. According to the prophecy the 10 kingdoms will exist when Christ comes. True there are some remnants, but those specific “kingdoms” no longer exist, much less have a king over them. My point is I do not think we are to that point in history where the 10 toes are represented ( I am aware this is a bold remark according to traditional interpretation).

Daniel and Revelation are the only two books in the Bible containing complete apocalyptic Prophecies, that is prophecies concerning God’s foreknowledge of His revelation of the future. Daniel has the key to understanding Revelation. I could discuss further how Revelation 2 ties into Rev 13:1-10 and 17:9-11 concerning the 7 blasphemous heads that are totally opposed to the truth of God ,but that is another discussion.

I always pray God will keep my mind open to knew spiritual truths and pray my fellow believers are patient with me as I mull over and study new truths from the traditional. Most of my life I have taken for granted what I was taught and really never grounded my beliefs. Revelation and Daniel are my favorite books of the Bible because they represent Gods ultimate love, justification and how unbelievably patient He is with us.
