Central Coast Adventist School - WOSE Week

This week I am on the Central Coast in Australia speaking at the Central Coast Adventist School for the bi-annual WOSE (Week of Spiritual Emphasis).  The theme this year is “Sleeping In” based on the song by the Christian band Nevertheless.  The emphasis is that we are often sleep walking through our lives, not making a commitment, not taking a full-on stand.  It has been said before that until you find something worth dying for, you’re not really living.  Jesus died for you, He died for me and when you enter into a relationship with Him, suddenly you have something worth really living for!

I would love to hear from you guys (the students) on your thoughts about the week.  Let me know if you have any questions, comments or prayer requests.

I love you guys and Jesus loves you more!

Matthew

Hey Matt, I’m one of the students at CCAS! Its sooo great having you at CCAS for our WOSE! I heard you at Big Camp one year and I was extrememly impressed. You were great. Unfortunately I only got to hear 2 of your sermons at Big Camp, but when I heard that you were coming to CCAS for WOSE, I was so excited. You’re one of the best speakers I know of. It’s so great to have you here and your sermons so far this week are great. I cant wait to hear what you have to say for the rest of this week. I hope that through you, God can bring more people closer to Him. You’re a true inspiration.

I think you are doing a great job with such a tough audience at CCAS. They are not easy people to stand up the front of. Considering it is a christian school they are quite a hard audience. You deal with it really well.

Thats cause I think 45% are Adventist, the rest are other christian factions or satanic and athiest, Jews and some Hindus (not sure about musliams that would be cool), the Adventist that go there are most likely, (the ones not from the Haven church) have a far more conservitive view on worship or just a little bit conservitive, I Know I do, plus Please for crying out loud sing some good songs or if can’t different ones, Every days a good one.

Hey matty,
It’s been so great having you here at our school this week. You’re messages have been really powerful and eye opening for me.
Even though I said told you this morning I want to thank you again for listening to God and allowing yourself to be used by him. Again with the prayer on monday night and God telling me “Be still, and know that I am your father” was something I’ve been needing to hear for a very very long time. If I get a chance this week to tell you a bit of my story I’d love to. but you’re pretty popular down here =)
Been such a blessing doing WOSE with you this week. can’t wait for tomorrow, fridays and saturdays message.

Just wanted to say that you were awesome today, and everytime you get on stage you really open my eyes and get me to think. You’ve answered alot of questions I’ve been pondering all my life. I’ve got more questions for you but I don’t really wanna post it up on the net…

By the way.. as soon as you mentioned Chuck Norris and uppercut in the same sentence you won me over. raspberry

The person who replied to me seems a little incoherent??? I’m not sure what I as an audience member am supposed to do about the songs.I think the girls that are singing are doing a solid job but the song choice is an issue… they hardly ever sing songs that are easy for the average person who can’t sing to go along with. Also I’m pretty sure there is actually less adventists than 45%…

Wow,

The messages which have been delivered through you have really blessed me, I can’t speak for others here (@ccas) but I’m certain many students, staff members & others have been blessed through your punchy (yes, that’s a compliment!) messages.

I thank God for blessing you and taking advantage of your ADHD to inspire multitudes of people world-over.

A random fact: You joined YouTube on my birthday!

God Bless!
