China
I am writing today from downtown Beijing. I have been here now for a couple of days on a study tour to wrap up my last class towards my doctorate. Yesterday we hit up the Great Wall which was really fascinating.
Beijing is an absolutely amazing city. They are doing wonders to get ready for the upcoming olympics. Speaking of, I am about as tired as an olympic athlete so I am going to hit the sack. I will do my best to write more later.
Blessings on your day from Beijing!

Dude!
You get around . . . I may end up in China in the next year for my Job but I’m not sure. It is voluntary to set up IT equipment all over China and will require stints of 3 weeks there and 2 weeks back. Probably not best for a family guy.
Are you learning much in China?
Lets see, Its Sabbath Morning here now, I guess its Saturday night or about 9:46 pm. So, primarily, did they build the wall to keep their people in or others out.
Later . . Jon
Posted by Jon on April 05, 2008 at 05:47 AM | #Nice! You’re in China! I’ve put it off but now I’m hitting you up on the matthew gamble blog. I was able to her you twice when you at Southern. I must say it was the best vespers I had ever been to, but more than that...you really addressed some issues that I am still dealing with now. I’ve been dealing with sexual sin for a long time now, it has really screwed with my mind (and my grades) the past two semesters I’ve been here. I’ve opened up to some people (and some people have opened up to me as well), and I know by the grace of God I’ve got to beat this. Everything you were saying about having a great Sabbath experience and getting on a spiritual high and then falling again throughout the week was exactly what I have been dealing with. Thank you for being honest and real, and for being humorous in your delivery. I was sitting with friends at the time, and I know for a fact that we wouldn’t have listened if your humor hadn’t cut through our foolishness and grabbed our attention. I’m doing somewhat better now, but I gotta stay on my game, because if I lose focus, Satan will come back in, and that can’t happen. Pray for me....

Jon - Bro, that would be really hard doing the three weeks here, two weeks back home gig. It would be an exciting opportunity, but really draining on you and the family. And yes, the Great Wall was built to keep the Mongrels out, you mongrel.
“The Original” - Homey, please fire me an email to and I will send you some info that you can throw in your bag of tricks to tackle this issue. It is a battle, so keep up the fight!
Chris - Bro, I am back home on Sunday and then boogie to New Haven, CT on Tuesday to look for housing as Susan and I are moving there in June as she is heading to Yale for residency. Fire me an email and let’s chat.
Piece peeps.
